Welcome to Nurture Therapeutics, a naturopathic clinic located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Naturopathic doctors are highly educated primary care providers who integrate standard medical diagnostics with a broad range of natural therapies. Naturopathic education includes the clinical sciences common to all medical training but also includes studies of holistic and nontoxic approaches to therapy with a strong emphasis on disease prevention and optimizing wellness. A message from Dr. Sandra Murphy, ND:
As a primary care provider of Naturopathic Medicine for men, women and children of all ages, I’ve made it my life’s work to always respect the healing power and innate wisdom of the body. Under my care you can expect prevention-oriented medicine to help maintain your health, prevent disease and a goal of identifying the cause of your health imbalances. Together we will develop practical, obtainable, effective, and creative health solutions. You will be treated as the whole person you are, taking into consideration physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of your life and not just your illness. We will integrate all aspects of your life to formulate a mutually satisfying treatment plan.
A native of Nova Scotia, Sandra is a graduate of The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), a fully-accredited 4-year full-time professional program in Toronto. She graduated as a recipient of the Presidents Letter for Outstanding Achievement in Asian Medicine Specialty. She is licensed to practice in regulated provinces after completing the comprehensive Naturopathic Licensing Examinations (NPLEX) administered by the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners (NABNE) in Oregon. Sandra also holds a Four-year Advanced Major Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Dalhousie University and has previously worked in Research & Development for MedMira Laboratories in Halifax developing Rapid Diagnostic testing in the fields of Breast and Prostate Cancer.
